Classic French Onion Cream Soup
4-5 onions, chopped
4 tbsp olive oil
4 tbsp flour
½ glass of white wine
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup water
1 tbsp chicken broth powder
1 tbsp onion soup powder
Step-by-Step Instructions: 1. In a large pot over medium-high heat, saute 4 tbsp of olive oil with the onions until the onions are golden brown.
2. Add 4 tbsp of flour and mix well. Continue stirring while you pour the white wine in. Then, add the heavy cream and water.
3. Season with salt, pepper, chicken broth powder, and onion soup powder.
4. Simmer on low heat for 25 minutes.
5. Serve the soup in oven safe bowls. Finally, top the individual bowls of soup with mozzarella cheese and bake at 400F for about 8 minutes.
